THIRD RUN! Theory/ Co-Creator, In Theory: Notes on Love, Home, Diaspora, and Failing Adulthood

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND, IN THEORY is a dance and spoken word fusion that explores converting the pain of our past into the resistance of our future.

Growing up is supposed to mean forgetting the past. Adulthood is supposed to be a rite of passage. Learning the language for your trauma is supposed to mean you can move on from it.

But what happens when the whole world seems to thrive on the structural violence that destroyed your family? What does it mean to acknowledge that maybe your entire lineage is a history of trauma? And what happens when the people you have been, refuse to be left behind?
